Post-Hospitalization Medical Expenses

What it means, and what it does to a claim.

Follow-up costs after discharge — review consultations, medicines, physiotherapy — for the same condition you were admitted for.

Why it matters

The window is longer than most people expect, often 60 to 180 days, and it is where recovery costs actually land. It is also tied to the same condition: a follow-up for something unrelated that happens to fall inside the window is not covered. Claim it as one file with the hospitalisation, not as an afterthought.
