Annual Health Check-up
What it means, and what it does to a claim.
A package of tests for a general assessment of your health, provided as a benefit. It specifically excludes tests done to investigate an illness.
Why it matters
It is a benefit most policyholders never claim, and it funds something worth doing anyway. The exclusion matters though: once a symptom is being investigated, those tests are diagnostic rather than a check-up, and they belong in a hospitalisation claim instead — where they are usually covered better.
The legal definition
Annual Health Check-up means a package of medical test(s) undertaken for general assessment of health status, excluding any diagnostic or investigative medical tests for evaluation of any Illness.

- Policy Year — The twelve months running from your commencement date — not the calendar year, and not the financial year.
